Candidate Profiling
Choosing to hire someone for a position in your company can be an enormous risk. While you can identify their experience and credentials, you can't see their behavior. What is more, they can't see your company's management style or corporate culture.
Therefore, we have an optional tool available for clients called SelecSys, which can verify that candidates and companies are a right fit for one another. SelecSys saves a great deal of time and money in the candidate selection process. SelecSys is a quick and accurate tool to assess a candidates "fit" into an organization. It provides a charted assessment of both the client's and candidate's personality traits, a profile of ideal traits for the position, and an indication of how the candidate fits the position. It also offers other features including behavioral based interviewing questions and a post hiring feedback system to insure that the new hire is functioning effectively in their new environment.
First, SelecSys provides a custom profile of the ideal personality characteristics needed for any given occupation. Then, it provides a charted assessment of the client's and candidate's personality traits. Matching the three charts results in an extremely accurate compatibility assessment.
To increase that accuracy by four times, SelecSys offers behavior-based questions for use during the interview process. Can candidates adapt to the ideal profile? How flexible will they be? Will they like their new corporate environment? You'll both know.
The SelecSys SM Process
- Job Profile MRI provides clients with a simple survey form consisting of questions about the position. Following analysis of this data, a custom job profile that defines the traits of the ideal candidate is generated.
- Candidate Profile The next step is to measure the personality traits of prime candidates. After the candidates complete the profile form, an analysis of the data determines their personality profiles.
- Profile Comparison Chart SelecSys then matches the two profiles to show how closely candidates' profiles fit the ideal job profile. In this way, a quick, accurate compatibility assessment is obtained for each candidate.
- Behavior-based Interviews To increase the accuracy of the results, SelecSys provides behavior-based questions to ask during the interview process. Based on the premise that past behavior is the best predictor of future performance, these questions focus on a candidate's specific, work-related job experiences and give an accurate indication of the candidate's future behavior and likelihood of success.
- On-going Feedback Even after candidates are hired, SelecSys continues to give feedback about their interaction with co-workers; SelecSys also measures the results of entire teams to improve their interaction, communication and productivity.
